The complete
ambience of Saligramam was spangled with the musical aroma with the presence of
many versatile personalities from film and arts industry launching ‘The Music
School’ owned by critically acclaimed cinematographer-writer Chezhian’s wife
Prema Chezhian.

singer Mano, poetess Thamizhachi and many others were present for the occasion.

the son of Chezhian-Prema couple amused everyone playing mellisonant tunes on
piano.
Speaking
on the occasion, director Seeman said, “Arts and music are something that
breaks the language barriers and boundaries. But it is disappointing to know
that Tamil film industry has abandoned its essence and as a result, our region
is dominated by outsiders. But I’m happy that the renaissance of music and arts
is happening at a greater magnitude. Isaignani Ilayaraja heading all the way
from a small village of Pannaipuram made a revolutionary breakthrough.
Apparently, Chezhian hailing from the town of Sivagangai is spearheading with
the concept of sharing his musical knowledge with the present generation through
this music school.”
Poetess
Thamizhachi on her turn said, “Music has been proved scientifically as a cure
for many mental and physical sicknesses… Music connects and unites people
beyond religion, language, community and regions. I am happy that Chezhian sir
and his wife, my close friend Prema for the success of this great mission of
spreading musical knowledge.”
Chezhian
is ennobled as the prominent cinematographer and writer. He has created a
medium of new visual language through his lens in films like Kalloori and
National award winning films like Thenmerku Paruva Kaatru and Paradesi followed
by Bala’s upcoming film ‘Thaarai Thappattai’.
‘The
Music School’ located #111, Durai Arasan Street, Saligramam, Chennai – 600093
